We can cut bar stock on a band saw up to a maximum diameter of 250 mm

Czech precision since 1994
OKOV s.r.o. is a Czech metalworking company with a tradition dating back to 1994. In 1997, it continued the legacy of the original Kovoobrábění Jiří Šrámek company and has been continuously developing in the field of precision CNC machining ever since.
We are based in Velešín, South Bohemia. We specialize in series production of components on CNC machine tools, as well as the custom manufacture of turned and milled parts from various materials according to customer requirements.
We process both customer-supplied materials and provide complete turnkey solutions – from material purchasing and production to assembly and surface treatment of finished parts. We have many years of experience with Kanban‑based supply.
We specialize in saeries production, but we are also happy to take on smaller orders and technical challenges. We continuously invest in modernizing our machinery to maintin a high level of manufacturing precision and quality.

Company History
Jiří Šrámek starts his business under the Kovoobrábění brand in rented premises at the Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering in Velešín. He acquires his first CNC lathe.
The company becomes a limited liability company. The name OKOV is derived from the Czech words Obrobna Kovů Velešín (Velešín Metalworking Plant).
Construction of a new production hall. We continue our cooperation with the Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering in Velešín, supporting students and providing opportunities for practical training.
e acquire our first CNC machining centre and introduce Aeropa air gauging systems.
We expand our production and storage facilities by 40 % and invest in new CNC lathes and machining centres.
We install a photovoltaic system, achieving significant savings in operating costs.
We strengthen and stabilise our team, develop series production, improve efficiency and significantly increase the company’s turnover.
We celebrate 30 years of the company’s history, with the third generation of the family gradually becoming involved in the business.
A generational transition takes place in the company’s management, with the second generation of the family taking over the company’s executive management. The goal is clear: to maintain outstanding manufacturing quality while ensuring the satisfaction of our employees and customers.

Turning
CNC lathesWe turn bar stock up to 80 mm in diameter and perform flange turning up to 250 mm in diameter.
Milling
MCV machining centersWe use highly rigid three- and four-axis machining centers. We mill on a machining area of 600 × 1000 mm.
Material cutting
NC band sawFor material cutting, we use a continuously fed, NC-controlled band saw for bar stock up to 250 mm and material lengths of up to 6 m.
Quality control
Air gauging systemsWe verify manufacturing accuracy using AeropaQC air gauging and evaluation systems.
